23.11.2021. Lagos, Nigeria – The Music Business Academy (MBA) for Africa, an African platform dedicated to training and developing an informed and empowered new generation workforce for Africa’s Entertainment Industry, announces Friday, 26th November, 2021, as release date for “MOMENTS” EP, the second EP from its Talent Project.

“MOMENTS” is a five track EP put together by the 2021 cohort of the MBA for Africa and the five emerging artistes signed to the Talent Project of the academy. The five amazingly talented artistes – Philip Dobson, Ab Amarii, Maestrum, Eiko and Brum3h – are all at the nascent stage of their music careers.

Under the guidance of the students from MBA for Africa, the artistes have undergone a makeshift artiste development program where short term to long term brand, management and marketing plans were developed for them and resulted in the release of their first collective EP in September titled “Heart on a Sleeve”.

The “Heart on a Sleeve” EP, a few weeks after its release, amassed over 10,000 streams across major streaming platforms and offered media interviews, live performances, among other opportunities for the five emerging artistes. Following this highlight, the students from MBA for Africa program, led by renowned talent manager and entertainment business executive, Godwin Tom, are taking the challenge to break the five artistes onto the mainstream music scene a notch higher with the upcoming ‘MOMENTS” EP.

According to Mr. Godwin Tom, Founder and Curator of MBA for Africa, “This year, we pushed ourselves a little harder and the results have been fulfilling.” “The students have shown unmatched commitment and dedication…”, Mr. Tom added, and “have put in a lot of work…to help develop these five emerging artistes and crown it with two EPs.”

MOMENTS” EP takes listeners through an emotional journey of upbeat and mid-tempo Afrobeats and Afro-fusion songs with intentional storytelling. Its lyrics, written or co-written by the MBA Talent Project Top 5 songwriters, capture major life moments including highs of the nightlife and day-to-day encounters. Produced by the MBA Talent Project Top 5 music producers and mastered by Grammy-nominated producer and engineer, Brandon “Blue” Hamilton, “MOMENTS” EP is set to get listeners dancing while reflecting on life. It is out on all streaming platforms on Friday, November 26, 2021.
